It's My Life

As I take a bite from my French Toast and sip a little coffee, I realise that the bass on "I've Told Myself" is a bit low. Damn, now who's gonna start all over again? I, of course, who else? You can laugh for all you want, but it ain't funny. Then suddenly RV calls up; he says that he's done with preparations (studio room) and he's waiting for me to come over to his place. Getting ready and reaching his place in 30 minutes ain't that easy and as soon as I reach his block, he calls and says he's at my place and waiting. I tell him to come back to his own house. God, already..........
                                           
iPod out, earphones inside ears and fuck the world! Suddenly Limp Bizkit sang to me. Long time since I heard them last. Chocolate Starfish's "Rollin'" reminds me once again of that street race about 3 months back. All of a sudden, RV's car is visible (thank God for this). I was near dead of boredom, a little tired of waiting and a bit sweaty (I had donned a cap, alongwith blue jeans, a black BattleField T-Shirt and had a duffel bag with me). So we enter his place, and head to his mini-studio. I put my bag on his table and start unloading it. CD, Pen Drive, headphones, mic, rhyme book, everything present. I switch on the room's computer and pop in the CD containing the instrumentals for out debut project, "Beat It" for a listening party! :P

It took complete 2 hours to edit the written, record it and mix the final damn thing. The first track recorded was "50 Bars [The Farewell]" and it's from our group of friends' mixtape titled "Diss-Association". We deserved a break! We went to the local basketball court and started dunking a few shots. I don't know how, but my other pals SJ, Burrito, Ritzer and DJ RedFlame (of the aforementioned group) were in sight and they came over. I guess RV caled them. We played ball a bit, then we went back and recorded "A Bleeding Bitch" (the posse cut from 80 H.P., another tape).
